Plastics4Pads (P4P) tackles two pressing global challenges: menstrual poverty and plastic pollution. Millions of women and girls face barriers to accessing sanitary products, while plastic waste continues to devastate ecosystems. P4P bridges these issues through an innovative exchange model: plastic waste is collected from communities and traded for eco-friendly sanitary pads made from sustainable banana fibers. This circular solution empowers women to reclaim their health and dignity, fosters environmental stewardship, and supports community well-being. By transforming waste into opportunity, P4P not only promotes menstrual equity but also contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable planet.
